New ventures

Here I am months after my last post and I thought I would show you what I've been doing. I thought I'd try my hand at an evening art class and discovered not only do I enjoy it but I can make a reasonable attempt when putting paint/pencil to paper.

Eye eye

These are my first ever attempts at eyes.

I know I have a long way to go but I am really enjoying my mark making journey.

Karen Burniston November challenge...

On my Facebook newsfeed I saw that Karen Burniston's designer challenge this month was to use her charms. I thought I'd play along and made this flower pot POP STAND Christmas card.

I used the POP STAND Christmas tree in the flower pot to create this presents under the tree card.

The presents are part of the holiday charm pack set.

As are the candy cane that Jolly the mouse is holding.

And the mini tree attached pegged label.

Hello stranger!

Hello, did ya miss me😀.
Life has been super busy here but as soon as I saw Karen Burniston's flower pot POP STAND I knew I had to have it. I squealed with delight when it arrived this week.

The cute characters are a freebie set from PAPERCRAFT ESSENTIALS magazine. Issue 140.

Karen Burniston Lucky Pull Tab card.

Hello here is one of my other Pull Tab cards I created this week using Karen Burnistons dies. This one is stamped with Karen's Lucky the Rabbit stamps set.

The card I used is from payperbox and is really fantastic quality at a great price. Perfect for card making as they make colour co-coordinating card. I had the pleasure of meeting Jon the director of the company at the craft show in Birmingham.

I was able to stamp Lucky the Rabbit and colour him in with pro-markers without the ink or the colour running.

Gorjuss Karen Burniston Pull Tab Card...

Hello it's been quite a while since my last post I've been busy trying to make an english paper piece quilt. It's taking a loooooooooong time.
Helen over at the dining room drawers and I took a little break last weekend to go to the stitches show at the NEC Birmingham to meet the very lovely Karen Burniston and Stamping Caz in person.

We had a fab time and even got to have a go at a few make and take activities.

I got to see all Karens new dies, one die in particular caught my eye. The new pull tab card die set. As soon as I got home I had a play and created this Gorjuss card.

I stamped the Gorjuss girl on to shrinkies paper and heated it in the oven to reduce its size.

I added tags from the tag pivot set to the pull tab.

The die set makes it so quick and easy to create lovely cards I was able to make five in one afternoon.
